This is a major undertaking, in a country that doesn't share western values or ideals such as the sanctity of life.
I can understand several plan changes along the way. That's what an action like this requires. Plan E, by the way is to pacify and cut off towns like Fallujah, Sammara and Najef. We could and should have done it earlier but were worried that the presence of U.S. troops would only inflame the situation.
But we're past that now and it's going to take place, in my opinion, in a few weeks. Whether or not our own elections will put operations off remains to be seen......
